Just under two hours total gameplay, fairly easy if you are fluent in english, a bit harder if you are not. I would say that this suits children aged 6-12 who are fluent in english. The gameplay consists of levels where you have to point and click on objects to collect or use in the level. When I say level, it is a scene, either a "picture" or a zoomable picture, and you have a list of objects to find, for instance a vase, 7 gears,3 bracelets, a clay ink pot and so on. There is not really any system to what you need. The coffegrinder you see in one scene does nothing, but two scenes later you have to pick it up. Had some troubles, what is a chamoise, and what does an magnifying glass look like (not a handle with a round glass disk at least), but was able to reason most of these out, and the game also has a help-function in you mechanic friend. All in all, I'll recommend this to children I think, the difficulty mainly lies in clicking in the right spot. There is no time, the help function is too powerful, as it details more and more as you click for help, and the story is not very deep and is without any big twists.. The community of this game can be accessed and played along with if you install the Challenge Pro Mode Arena modification (CPMA) at their website https://www.playmorepromode.org/Other than that, this is what Unreal was to Unreal Tournament in the notion that it brought a team multiplayer design to Quake offering something that it didn't quite have.. it passes the time.. I played this game a lot when it came out. I must say it was a hit back then and I was rooted to my 15-inch monitor salivating profusely to the awesomness this game offered. Lush, colorful graphics, great gameplay, cool puzzles and unique weaponry made this game my favourite entertainment of 1998. Then by some terrible accident I stomped on my CD with copy of this game and didn't finished it. So 14 years later I spottted this game on steam an thought I would give it another try, It didn't age well. If You think about all possible nightmares of retro gaming this one has it all. Hard as hell and unforgiving in a wrong way. I can still play first Quake/Doom/DN3D without feeling cheated but this game seems to be very imbalanced. It is known for it's notorious puzzles which are very frustrating and irritating. Opponents feels sometimes awfully overpowered, especially bosses. Colors and overall graphic design seems bleak and desolate which might be intentional back then but today it just feels empty and unappealing. Apart from that overall perfomance seems to be quite choppy on lower resolutions (the way it meant ot be played by the way). If You boost the resolution up with unofficial mods it works fine but levels looks very simple and raw because texture show their age. You may think that I might be spoiled with recent AAA titles but for me it's just not that fun to play anymore. I still kinda like it for nostalgia reasons but I just can't recommend it anymore.. Another shade of arena shooter good as play for fun although it not a mainstream gamesmarter botintensive team-based arena shooterIf you like team based arena shooter this is your choice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Overload mode is funest10/10con:Nothing quake 3 arena and team arena alway perfectdepending which one you prefer. I played this game as a kid with my dad. It's an old one for sure. It's fun, though! It doesn't have a ton of replay value, but the first time through the game, there are puzzles to solve and achievements to get! It's cute and simple, but can be played with any computer, and it's long-lasting!. If you liked Hexen and Hexen Deathkings of the Dark Citadel and quake 2 you might like this. But I find this as a rip off of Hexen and quake 2 movement and graphics put together. They clearly didnt do a good job I can't even get past the first chapter of the game. If you liked Hexen old and classic then don't get this game.. Just finished part 2...I liked it a lot, but it did not flow as well at part 1. It felt like the script writers got lost a bit... had its ups and downs. It was not always clear what to do, like there were some holes. I do still recommend it, because I enjoy the gameplay , the sense of humor and the cartoon style a lot. When a game makes me laugh quite often, it's good to me:DLooking forward to the next story.. This is pretty much an expansion to the orignal Quake 3 Arena.Made spefically to add a bunch of new stuff to the original. Can't go wrong really, as it does make the game a lot better. :)
